The Dress of the Year...

The Designer was Sarah Burton creative director of Alexander McQueen and wasn't it stunning!

I watched the service and it was so beautiful - from the great hats and crazy fasinators all the way through to the National Anthem in honour of the Queen's beautiful yellow coat dress by Angelina Kelly.

A record was broken after TWO kisses on the balcony and I wish Prince William and Kate a very happy life together.

And they lived happily ever after.

THE END

We all Love a Royal Wedding...

Yay! Will and Kate are finally getting married and the big question that everyone is asking is who designed the dress?? We know that the cake designer is Fiona Cairns who has only said that;

"The cake, which will be decorated with cream and white icing, will have a strong British floral theme using elements of the Joseph Lambeth technique"

(In English - the Joseph Lambeth technique is basically fancy piping)

But we still have no clue who designed the dress! All I know is that Kate will most definitely look absolutely stunning and I can't wait to watch the wedding as the couple are so adorable <3

Here are some pictures of Kate's past outfits. She is such a beautiful, stylish woman and will most certainly be a trendsetter...

So jealous of her jackets - she has such a beautiful collection.

Isn't she just stunning...

They are the cutest couple <3

Make sure you watch the royal wedding tommorow...

Enchanted

The weather is so great outside and everything seems so magical and I was reminded how much I love the film, Enchanted. The storyline is magical, the ending is magical and even the costumes are magical!

I love this film so much - if you haven't seen this film I strongly advise you to watch it and put a bit of magic into your adventures.

Oh and I am attempting to make a button for my blog at the moment so I guess we will have to see how that turns out...eeek.

Banana Cake

Unfortunately due to a technical hitch we don't have an oven at home at the moment which has typically given me cravings for the best banana loaf in the world! Here is the recipe...

Try making some and tasting it and then let me know what you think. I f you serve it with some old fashioned, Cornish vanilla ice cream you just can't go wrong.

  • 75g melted butter
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmug
  • 115g caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-4 large very ripe bananas (the squishier the better!)
  • 125ml milk
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 100g Chocolate chips (optional)
  1. Heat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas 5. Melt the butter and allow to cool. Mash the bananas well. Sift the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a large bowl, add caster sugar and stir through.
  2. With a fork, beat together the eggs, vanilla extract, melted butter and milk in a second bowl. Add the mashed banana and stir through.
  3. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the egg mixture, stirring roughly with a fork (don't over mix) until it is a lumpy paste.
  4. Grease a loaf tin putting a rectangular shaped piece of greaseproof paper at the bottom and spoon the mixture in.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour or until the loaf is completely cooked throughout (test by putting a cake tester into the centre and making sure it comes out clean) and then remove from tin and place on a cooling rack.
  6. Serve with sliced banana and a dollop of creme fraiche or a tasty scoop of vanilla ice cream and some melted chocolate drizzled over the top.

I really can't wait until we get our oven fixed and I can make some more... then I will show you some of the pictures to get your mouths really watering :)

For those of you who are not big cake lovers, here's something tasty for you to try...
This bag is so beautiful and it was made by angels! I want it so badly but unfortunately being broke means it is £69 out of budget :( That makes me want to cry.

What do you think?

Eggs-cellent Weather...

Happy Easter everybody!

This Easter my family decided to do it differently. Instead of sitting in a crowded room, full of family members whose names we can't actually remember, with the heating on full blast as to ignore the icy streets outside - don't laugh, I'm sure you've done it too! We sat outside in the sun absorbing plenty of vitamin D and slowly changing colour from very white, to very pink. (The weather here in England is absolutely fantastic which for this time of year is rather surprising, so we must spend as long in the sun as possible before it disappears...)

We then heated up a BBQ and celebrated Easter with a variety of BBQ food and salady bits before finally retreating inside to snuggle up to watch Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton in The Prince of Persia. Trust me if you ever want to watch a great movie with some beautiful people in it; this is the one to watch...

Here is what I wore... It's not very complicated and definitely has a limited amount of accessories, but sometimes simple is best. What do you think?

Necklace - A gift, Top - Matalan, Leggings - M&Co., Bag - Aldo

How did you celebrate Easter?

Life always looks brighter when there is ice cream...

I spent another day out with my cousins and we found more bluebells on the way home from a wonderful meal and some really great ice cream, so we just had to stop and take some photographs. I am seriously loving the summer dresses here...

Ice Cream - It rules the world!

I have to say I am a fan of double denim.... What do you think of this look?

Shorts - Matalan, Cami - Primark, Lace top/denim shirt - New Look, Pashimina - boutique in Cyprus, Shoes - Aldo.

This is my cousin again from the last post - Isn't her dress so cute! I may have to steal that from her too...

This ^ is another one of my cousins, Natalie, I adore this picture - it is so cute and I just had to share her great dress with you all. I need a wardrobe full of elegant dresses like this one to be able to make it through summer so I guess I better hit the shops! What is your summer staple?

Thanks so much to my cousins and my sister who took the pictures and for letting me show you their wonderful dresses which I must now steal...

Thanks again to my great followers and please keep commenting and inviting all your friends to take a look at my blog - I love you all! <3

Playing in the park...

We found a tiny park whilst on our travels throughout the day and we were just messing around on some of the swings and somehow we came out with a variety of interesting shots. What do you think?

You know in my last post I said how I really wanted to steal Lindsay's shirt.... so I did.

Taking photos in the park. I don't know why I love this photo so much? I think it might have something to do with the fantastically multicoloured play equipment in the background!

This is my little sister on the monkey bars! It is so adorable I just had to share it with you. See my attempt on the right. I am so bad at monkey bars.....

I wish I was a small kid again.

Thanks again to Natalie for the great photos :)

Lazy afternoons with the bluebells...

Meet my cousins... they came and took me on a wonderful walk through the local wood amongst the bluebells and then we had an adorable picnic sitting on a log! I loved every moment of it and I got some really great pictures of our outfits. Take a look and let me know what you think! I love reading all of your fantastic comments.

You can't go for a long walk without an Ice lolly - well that's my rule anyway!

The weather was so beautiful so go down to a local natural spot of yours with a camera (and an amazing outfit!), wait for the right lighting and and make magical photos!
I can't wait to see some of yours!

The photos are by Natalie (my other cousin) and Debbie my little sister. Thank you so much <3
